Unlike many other states, South Dakota doesn’t have its own Official State Plan; hence the workers come under the control of Federal OSHA Jurisdiction.
Since OSHA’s Outreach courses contain essential topics that cover training requirements such as introduction to general safety and worksite hazards, demanded by most employers in South Dakota, OSHA suggests entry-level workers get enrolled in OSHA 10 Hour courses.
