The 10-hour OSHA Construction outreach course provides basic awareness training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards.

Construction employers that have received OSHA's Outreach Program training have observed up to a 66% decrease in injuries resulting in time off. This online training course on construction safety is a follow-up to the very popular 10-hour construction safety program  and is designed to educate construction workers on a range of basic safety and health guidelines. You will be required to spend a minimum of 10 hours in this OSHA 10-hour online training.

Course topics include:

  • Introduction to OSHA,
  • Struck and Caught Hazards
  • Electrical Safety
  • Fall Protection
  • Ladder Safety
  • Excavation Safety
  • Scaffold Safety
  • Materials Handling
  • Crane Safety
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Permit-Required Confined Space Entry.

Individuals have 180 days to complete training from the start of the program and receive an OSHA course completion card upon finishing.

OSHA advises that Outreach Training Program courses be taken as a way to introduce employees to the basics of occupational safety and health. Employees must be provided further training by OSHA as needed, on the specifics of their work's potential dangers.

OSHA Policies

  • This course does NOT meet the requirements in New York City
