OSHAOnlineCenter’s 24 Hour HAZWOPER training is a standard requirement for site workers who are on-site occasionally for specific limited tasks. However, even workers who regularly work at contaminated sites and conduct tasks are likely to be exposed to hazardous substances at or above OSHA's permissible exposure limit.
Through this training, employees will learn how to identify and minimize typical risks associated with hazardous chemicals. In addition to Fall Protection, you'll study Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hazard communication, decontamination, site emergencies, and other essential workplace safety issues. You will have 12 months starting from the date of purchase to finish the 14-module course, which requires a minimum of one day of study time.
Some individuals who respond to releases of hazardous substances, some at cleanup sites of dangerous waste, and some at facilities for the storage, treatment and disposal of hazardous waste are required to complete a 24 Hour HAZWOPER training course.

This depends on an individual's pace, ideally the whole course takes about 24 Hours to complete. With OSHAOnlineCenter you can complete your course within 6 months.
People who won't be working with cleanup but who could occasionally come into contact with hazardous materials should take the 24 Hour HAZWOPER course. This safety training covers a variety of subjects relating to identifying and cleaning dangerous materials. The 40 Hour HAZWOPER safety course is required of all employees who regularly handle and clean up hazardous products. This also applies to staff members handling and storing hazardous chemicals.
